bactericide,, expect oral antispasmodic,
carminative, cephalic, digestive, restorative,
general stimulant, anti-spasmodic, stomachic, tonic
and insecticide. |

Uses: |
Basil
has been used for colds, memory, digestion,
regulating the menstrual cycle, and applied to bites
and stings, decongestant of the veins and pulmonary
arteries. Weak nervous conditions, headache,
tension, stress and muscular spasm. |

Blends Well
with: |
Bergamot, Lime, Clary sage, Marjoram Cedarwood,
Cypress Eucalyptus, Geranium, Ginger, Grapefruit,
Lavender, Lemon, Orange, Naiouli, Pine Sage, Tea
Tree and sage. |
Cautions:
Use
sparingly with caution.. Avoid in cases of liver
problems.
Methyl chavicol one of the main constituents is
moderately toxic, and can be irritating to the skin
and may also be carcinogenic. No to be used on
children under 16 years of age. Not to be used in
baths.
